Bac Giang bags two gold medals at National Sport Games
Hoang Thi Thu (Bac Giang) and Huynh Thuy Vy (Ho Chi Minh City) was the first pair competed in the afternoon. In round 1, athlete Hoang Thi Thu was defeated right at the 7th second. After calming down in round 2, Hoang Thi Thu used attacking skills to defeat the opponent and won at the 21st second. Hoang Thi Thu defeated Huynh Thuy Vy 2-0.

At the 3rd competition in the afternoon, athlete Vi Thi Anh (also from Bac Giang) continued her teammate’s victory with the 2nd gold medal when winning over Phan My Loang (Lai Chau) 2-0 at women’s 54-kg category.
On the same afternoon, 2 other athletes of Bac Giang team including Trang Van Cuong competing at men’s 69-kg category and Trieu Du Hung competing at men’s 60-kg category won silver medals.
Finally, Bac Giang sports team bagged 8 medals (2 golds, 2 silvers and 4 bronzes) at stick pushing games followed by Thai Nguyen with 3 golds and 1 silver and Hai Phong with 3 golds and 2 bronzes. Other teams of Dac Lac, Bac Ninh and Lam Dong bagged from 1 to 2 golds.
Right after the athletes of Bac Giang won gold medals, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism congratulated, encouraged and gave on the spot reward to the athletes.
