(BGO) – According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural
Development (DARD), the farmers in the districts and city of Bac Giang province
have realised 22 high technology farming models since early this year.
So far, the province has built more than 90 hi-tech agriculture models in execution of the provincial Party’s Standing Committee Resolution No.130-NQ/TU dated on August 16, 2016 about boosting up hi-tech application in farm production.

The bell pepper plants are grown in net house model in Viet Tien commune (Viet Yen district).

The models are mostly located at the districts of Viet Yen, Tan Yen, Hiep Hoa and Lang Giang with minimum scale of 2,000 square meters of net house, membrane house to produce safe vegetable and melon.
Now, the equipment erection and infrastructure are completed while the model owners are seedling. In the upcoming time, the DARD’s competent agency will conduct the inspection for acceptance and support the qualified model as the regulation.
Actually, the average income of the hi-tech farming models hits 200 – 300 million VND (8,600 – 12,900 USD) per ha per year, nearly doubling the value of traditional cultivation. The number of hi-tech models is expected to exceed the set target by 2020 (100 models) in the winter crop this year.
