On September 23, 2016, the PPC approved the investment policy for the infrastructure and warehouse project of the Bac Giang city International Logistics Center.

This project was invested and constructed in Song Khe commune (Bac Giang city). The investor is Bac Giang International Logistics Company Limited. It’s goal is to build a modern, multifunctional center, form an important link in the supply chain to connect the economic corridors serving international trade.

The project is implemented on an area of ​​66.69 hectares with a total investment of more than 4.1 trillion VND (nearly 174 million USD). The term of operation lasts 50 years from the date of approval for the investment policy.

As schedule, the project is divided into 3 phases. Phase 1 started from September 2016 to December 2020 which needs to complete site clearance, land procedures, build highway rest stops, goods distribution area, technical infrastructure area, parking lot...

Phase 2 started from January 2021 to December 2023 which targets to complete exhibition and trade promotion areas; hotel area; housing area for experts and staff; small and medium-sized warehouses.

Phase 3 is from January 2024 to January 2025 which completes investment in small and medium-sized warehouses.

According to the report, to date, the project's site clearance work has been basically completed. Bac Giang International Logistics Company Limited has been handed over total area of ​​over 64.5 hectares of land in two periods, 53.5 hectares of which belong to land lease contract.

Concluding the event, PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan emphasized that the infrastructure and warehouse project of the Bac Giang City International Logistics Center is considered a key project of the province with importance in promoting local socio-economic development.

With that meaning, he requested investors to urgently develop a specific construction plan for each item; properly implement the committed content on progress; pay attention to allocating resources and human resources to speed up the schedule.

By December 2025, the storage warehouse, goods distribution area, water supply and wastewater treatment station, fire prevention and fighting and highway rest stops among others must be completed.

The provincial leader ordered relevant departments and sectors, based on their functions and tasks, to proactively remove obstacles and difficulties in their management fields, create favorable conditions for investors to construct projects.
