All reports at the meeting specified the severe impact of Covid-19 pandemic to the socio-economic development, production and business activities as well as people’s life.

Thanks to the close, drastic and flexible direction from the provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee; the high determination of the whole political system; the consensus of people and business community, Bac Giang city well controls the pandemic and effectively implements the “duo target”.

Basically, all set socio-economic criteria are completed and exceeded. The economy maintains good growth rate of 12.8 percent. The state budget collection surpasses the set target. The urban infrastructure has been invested. The urban order is secured with much lower rate of violation detected comparing to previous time.

Prominently, the city exceeded the state budget collection estimate in 2021. conquering the difficulties caused by Covid-19 pandemic, all levels, sectors and authorities in Bac Giang city have conducted many synchronous measures, hence total collection of state budget in 2021 is estimated at over 3.7 trillion VND, accounting for 159 percent of the yearly plan and far exceeding the set target. It is also the highest result of budget collection in the history with 38 percent of total state budget collection in 2016 - 2020 period.

To fulfill the state budget collection of 3,027 billion VND assigned by the province in 2022 (up 30 percent year on year) amid numerous difficulties, the municipal competent forces suggested some solutions in which the taxation sector actively applies taxation policies timely and effectively to ensure new policies and mechanism to cover all taxpayers; the administrative reform should be accelerated with unnecessary formalities and documents cut down.

The municipal agencies, wards and communes must strictly follow the cooperative agreement in managing taxation collection in the area; improve taxation supervision and inspection; actively implement various measures to expedite and collect the debt; enhance exchange, share and timely handle obstacles for taxpayer.
