At the event, leaders of YEA and Department of Planning and Investment introduced prominent features of socio-economy, orientation and policy for investment attraction, actual situation of external relation as well as key tasks in the province in the upcoming time.

Leader of Department of Planning and Investment shares some information about local socio-economy.

They pressed that the province is the fruit hub in the North and also has strongly developed industry. In accumulation, the province has attracted 484 valid foreign direct investment projects (FDI) with total registered capital of over 6.8 billion USD. Many key farm produce of the province have been protected in several countries.

Among the nations and territories in charge by the ambassadors and consulate general, Bac Giang province has established cooperative relations in various fields of economy, education and training, culture with China, Japan, Laos, the US, Italy, India, Israel and German.

On the occasion, the ambassadors and consulate general in foreign countries were urged to pay more attention to assisting Bac Giang in some key contents which are to enhance cooperation and promote the provincial image to international friends, to support the province to lure businesses and corporation with global trademark who have stable and long-term investment demand to the locality.

The ambassadors and consulate general were suggested to join hands with the province to implement trade promotion events, especially to key and signature farm produce and advantage industrial products; introduce prestigious researchers and companies to the province toward collaboration in technology transfer for hi-tech farming, food processing and preservation; facilitate schools and educational establishment to approach to training programme for high qualified human resources.

At the meeting, the ambassadors and consulate general of Vietnam in foreign countries introduced the potentials, strengths and demand of import-export markets in several countries, pressing to accompany and support Bac Giang province in connecting, introducing and promoting the potential of investment attraction and global integration.

They urged the province to be more active in fostering the expanding international cooperative relation, helping open more chances and create favorable conditions for socio-economic development in the province and other localities in the region.
