Bac Giang city increases operational efficiency at industrial cluster
Apart from Song Khe – Noi Hoang industrial park, the city plans 7 industrial clusters on total area of 63 hectares, 6 of which entered operational stage.

Recently, the municipal People’s Committee has mobilized over 130 billion VND (5.6 million USD) from business and investor and allocated more than 15 billion VND from the budget to complete centralized waste water treatment facilities in Tan My – Song Khe industrial cluster. Thanks to the support from local authority, two investors to Dinh Tri and Tan My industrial clusters basically completed the technical infrastructure and meet the operational requirement from enterprises.
The industrial clusters in the city attracts more than 60 enterprises, business and production facilities with total investment of over 460 billion VND. The businesses in the industrial clusters contributed over 200 billion VND to the state budget in 2018 – 2022 period. |
According to the municipal Economic Division, the industrial clusters attracted more than 60 companies, production and business facilities with total investment of over 460 billion VND (accounting for nearly 80 percent of the area). Three industrial clusters of Tho Xuong, Xuong Giang II and Tan My – Song Khe were fully occupied. 4,200 labours in and outside the city are employed to work at these areas with average income of 5 – 8 million VND per person per month.
Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Tien Dung said: “With the target to develop a green and smart urban, the municipal People’s Committee pays due attention to planning and boosting the industrial clusters by investing and luring investor to synchronous infrastructure, improving capability to protect the environment inside the industrial clusters. The priority is taken to attracting industrial project with high added value and friendly to the environment so as to make industrial business and manufacturer to centralized operation away from residential area; ensure urban atmosphere and increase economic efficiency”.

Thus, in addition to operating 7 existing industrial clusters and 1 industrial park, the city plans to establish Song Mai – Nghia Trung industrial park on 90 hectares and Tan My – Hong Thai industrial cluster on 12 hectares by 2030. Besides, the authority proposed to expand some industrial clusters in Xuong Giang ward, Tan My and Dinh Tri communes to satisfy the demand.
To further complete the infrastructure at the industrial clusters and facilitate the business operation, the city continues investing to infrastructure system outside the industrial cluster barrier such as road, water drainage system, lighting system…; improving the business and investment environment and ensuring the public security.
