Bac Giang city isolates Mia market and adjacent areas for Covid-19 prevention

(BGO) - The Chairman of Bac Giang municipal People’s Committee (Bac Giang province) on August 15 issued Decision No.2160 to impose isolation at the whole Mia market and some adjacent areas in Tan My commune, Bac Giang city to prevent and control Covid-19 in line with the PM’s Decree No.16/CT-TTg on March 31, 2020.

The time started at 8pm on August 15, 2021 till new announcement. The isolation is imposed because two cases with positive test result to novel coronavirus in Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province delivered fruits to Mia market.

Implementing the Decision, Chairman of Tan My communal People’s Committee instructed the competent forces to cooperate with municipal agencies to set up checkpoints to lockdown the whole area and take samples of all traders in the market and relevant people for SARS-CoV-2 test.

9 persons with close contacts (F1 cases), 35 F2 and 8 F3 cases have been detected relating to two above mentioned patients, mostly residing in the local villages. They had their specimens taken for testing. Now these cases are under centralized quarantine or home isolation as regulation.
