What are the PPC’s specific instruction to boost up the production and successfully implement the “double task” of pandemic prevention and socio-economic development so as to support the local enterprises?

Together with the general success of the nation, Bac Giang province now records no Covid-19 patient which is the great achievement of the whole political system, the drastic instruction from the authorities at all levels and high consensus of the people to support the local authority to successfully prevent and control the disease.

Implementing the Prime Minister’s order, the province is now realizing “double target” to focus on Covid-19 prevention and control and socio-economic development, especially supporting the businesses to boost up the production in the upcoming time to improve the provincial economic growth.

To realize the target, the PPC firstly requested to enhance the pandemic preventive measures effectively.

Secondly, the province should handle the difficulties and obstacles to the firms and economic components in line with the Prime Minister’s Decision No.15/QD-TTg and implement the support package according to the Prime Minister’s Resolution No.42/NQ-TTg.

Thirdly, the local authority instructed the competent sectors, especially bank, tax office, social insurance to immediately conduct the central and sector guidelines to ease the difficulties for the enterprises such as accessing to the credit loan, reducing bank interest, delaying payment time for taxation and social insurance.

In the coming time, the PPC Chairman will establish the Special Working Group to receive the feedback from the business as well as the reflection of the obstacles and difficulties.

Now, there is a fierce movement of the global supply chain, particularly the big businesses and groups are tending to select Asia, Southeast Asia including Vietnam as the potential investment destination. Thus, what are the provincial preparations to welcome the new wage of investment?

According to the economic expert and analyzers, the investment wage tends to move to Asia including Vietnam in post Covid-19 period which is a very good chance for the province. Bac Giang has actively seized the opportunity to synchronously implement several measures.

Bac Giang has implemented several solutions to ease the difficulties and boost up the production and business.

At first, the province has focused on reinforcing the infrastructure, especially the traffic structure with linking function to ease the transport.

Secondly, the province has reviewed and instructed to speed up the compensation progress for the site work at the projects and industrial parks to create clean land so as to be ready to welcome the investors, especially big ones to the province.

Thirdly, Bac Giang has defined 4 criteria to select the investor which are to use the land effectively, use less labour, apply modern and advanced technology, contribute to state budget.

Fourthly, the province has ordered to accelerate the administrative reform, improve the business and investment environment, create the best condition to the investors to the area.

With these four synchronous measures, Bac Giang province is ready to welcome the investor to the province.

Besides, the province has actively proposed the Prime Minister to establish 2 new industrial parks, namely Yen Lu industrial park (Yen Dung district) and Yen Son – Bac Lung industrial park (Luc Nam district) with total area of over 1,200 ha since late 2019.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment submitted to the Prime Minister and now is waiting for his consideration. In case the Prime Minister gives a nod, the province can ensure the plane in 2021 to welcome new wage of investment to the province.
