Bac Giang earned 31st position on PCI ranking in 2021 and 27th position in 2020. Among the sub-indices, time cost, transparency and labor training have high score that significantly affect the general index. However, the trasparency and labor training were up 23 and 1 paces respectively while time cost in Bac Giang province rank 46 out of 63 provinces and cities, dropping 41 places against 2020 position.

To recover the issue, the provincial People’s Committee on July 7, 2022 issued plan to enhance PCI in 2022. Accordingly, these above mentioned sub-indices are assigned to each agence and the implementation has gained initial results.

PPC Vice Chairman Mai Son pressed that the sectors have actively worked out the tasks and solutions to recover the relevant sub-indices with low score. To improve PCI, all sectors must focus on communication.

He assigned the Department of Planning and Investment (DoPI) as the chair to consult the communication task because the DoPI deeply understand the business to specify detailed contents timely and appropriately; cooperate to create video and air on mass media and social network in this December in order to help people and community understand more about the task of PCI improvement.

The departments and sectors should well organize talkshow and event relating to the field in charge; discuss with business to help them understand and correctly evaluate the provincial implemenation of the indices, local solutions to support and facilitate the enterprises.

Regarding the transparency, the departments and sectors, especially Departments of Construction, Natural Resources and Environment must join hands to design and integrate into one point to ease the business’s access for information research.

All sectors were ordered to sufficiently supply data and update to the provincial Portal for the citizens and firms on demand of searching for information.

The Department of Information and Telecommunication was urged to build tool so that business can directly judge the serving task in the province in line with the component indices of PCI. Basing on this, the department should sum up the data, suggest the solution for timely adjustment; further accelerate the implementation of “5-on-the-spot” administrative procedure; raise the responsibility of chaired organization to consult next task.

Bac Giang focuses on recovering low indicators to improve PCI rankings

(BGO) – In 2020, the  Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) of Bac Giang province earned 63.98 points, helping the province rank 27 out of 63 provinces and cities, up 13 places over the previous year as the highest ranking for recent 8 years. However, some component indicators still gained low score which must be improved in the upcoming time by synchronously implementing solutions.

Bac Giang province earned 63.98 points, ranking 27 out of 63 provinces and cities, up 13 places over the previous year. It is also the best ever result the province has gained since 2016.
