Quang Ninh province continued to lead the rankings for the fourth consecutive year. Bac Giang province earned 63.98 points, ranking 27 out of 63 provinces and cities, up 13 places over the previous year.

Some component indicators with high scores included fair competition, legal institutions, security and order, and time costs.

In 2019, Bac Giang ranked 40th out of 63 provinces and cities in the PCI. In odder to improve the ranking in 2020, Bac Giang focused on synchronous and drastic implementation of solutions such as reforming administrative procedures, and creating a favorable business and environment for and a healthy competition among enterprises. Provincial leaders, heads of related agencies at all levels regularly met with businesses to grasp their difficulties and promptly remove them.

According to a representative of VCCI, this year, the gap between the top and bottom provinces has been narrowed while the average PCI score of the localities has been raised. This shows localities’ efforts and determination to improve the investment and business environment.

The PCI ranking aimed to help the local leaders review and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses in their direction and management over the past time, so as to put in place appropriate policies to improve the business and investment environment.

Provincial leader urges to drastically improve PCI

(BGO)- The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has announced the report on Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2018. Bac Giang ranked 36 out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide (down 6 places). In order to seek solutions for improving PCI in coming time, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Linh chaired a meeting with related departments and agencies, districts and city.
