Bac Giang strives to improve PCI ranking in 2020

The province strives for 2020 PCI ranking 30th out of 63 provinces and cities and in top localities with good economic governance nationwide.
Besides, the province will focus on improving scores of the sub-indicators which greatly affect the total PCI score and surmount shortcomings of the declining indicators in 2019 including market joining cost, cost of time, informal payments and business support services.
In addition, the province should improve and maintain scores of 6 increasing indicators including transparency, access to land, fair competition, dynamism and pioneering of provincial leaders, labour training, legal institutions and security-order.
According to the Plan, the related agencies are urged to study and closely follow up the assigned tasks of improving PCI in 2020 to make detail implementation plans with specific assignments and solutions to reach the set targets of the indicators.
Leaders of the assigned agencies and units failing to reach the set targets to improve scores of the indicators outlined in the plan shall not be assessed excellent mission completion in 2020.
The Plan also sets out specific duties to improve PCI of Bac Giang province in 2020 targeting at 66.68 points, up 2.21 points compared to 2019, ranking 30th out of 63 provinces and cities.
Particularly, the indicator of “market joining cost” is targeted at 7.61 or higher (up 0.83 points compared to 2019). “Access to land” indicator is targeted at 7.11 or higher (0.27 points higher than 2019). “Transparency” indicator is targeted at 7.0 (up 0.15 points compared to 2019).
“Cost of time” indicator is targeted at 7.08 or higher (0.56 points higher than 2019). “Informal payments” indicator is targeted not less than 6.5 (1.05 points higher than 2019). “Dynamism and pioneering of provincial leaders” indicator will be not less than 7.34 (up 0.36 points compared to 20190. “Business support services” indicator is targeted at 6.5 or higher (up 1.07 points compared to 2019). “Labour training” indicator is targeted not less than 7.30 (0.11 points higher than 2019) while “legal institutions and security-order” indicator is targeted at 6.71 or higher (up 0.33 points compared to 2019).
