Bac Giang draws 41 new FDI projects to industrial parks

(BGO) – According to
the Management Board of Industrial Parks in the northern province of Bac Giang,
the industrial parks have attracted 46 new investment projects.
There included 41 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects and 4 domestic ones with total newly registered capital of 711.7 million USD and 427.8 billion VND (18.4 million USD).

Also, 31 projects were given a nod to increase the capital up to 203.9 million USD and 577.2 billion VND (24.9 million USD). In accumulation, total newly registered and added capital hit 915.6 million USD and over 1 trillion VND (43.2 million USD).
To date, 286 projects have put under operation in the industrial parks.
About 2,500 residents in mountainous districts of central Quang Nam province, mostly women and impoverished ethnic minorities, are expected to get stable jobs and higher income thanks to a US-funded sub-project.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a meeting in Hanoi on September 23 with ministries, agencies and corporations to review the implementation of the Vietnam – Laos, Vietnam – Cambodia high-level agreements.
The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Korea (RoK) said on September 19 that the country has launched three more libraries for Vietnamese students, lifting the total number in the Southeast Asian country to 14.

Giang province to inaugurate and hand over the latrine project donated by Latter Day Saint
Charities (LDSC).
The central province of Thua Thien-Hue has implemented a sub-project to replace conventional lights with less energy consuming Light Emitting Diodes (LED) lights along streets in Hue city under the Energy Efficient Lighting NAMA Pilot project (VIE/401) funded by Luxemburg.
