Bac Giang enhances collaboration and linkage in lychee consumption
Amid many difficulties due to Covid-19 pandemic, 2021 lychee season made three records (biggest quantity, highest quality and exporting to the most demanding market).

This year the fruit quality is expected to surpass that of last year with estimated quantity of over 160,000 tonnes, including over 95,000 tonnes in Luc Ngan district. The harvest time is scheduled from May 25 till July 30.
Speaking at the conference, PPC Permanent Vice Secretary Le Thi Thu Hong urged the Fatherland Front Committee (FFC), provincial political social organizations and Luc Ngan district to promote the experiences and results gained in 2021 to expand the market, focus on measures to support farmers in selling and processing lychee.
Due attention should be paid to open up domestic market with priority taken to launch trade and consumption promotion for cooperatives and collectives which produce in line with VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards while enhancing connectivity to major distributing groups, enterprises, Industrial Park Management Board, FFC and organizations in and outside the province to supply and consume products.

Competent agencies were ordered to make plan and programme to apply digital technology in selling lychee directly to customers via electronic commercial platforms.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development should provide business, cooperative and traders buying lychees with processing and packing procedures that suit to requirement and standard of each market.
The Department of Science and Technology was requested to assist technology solution in production, harvest, preservation and processing as well as control the origin traceability and quality verification.
Meanwhile, the Department of Industry and Trade must chair and cooperate to well organizae promotion conference and chain of event to consume provincial special fruit.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism was ordered to join hands with prestigious and experienced companies to select tourism services, orchards and destinations to create and supply experimental tourism products on Luc Ngan lychee season in 2022.
The Department of Transport was assigned to link to Transportation Association, companies and agencies to prepare programme to ensure the demand of lychee delivery to other localities.
On the occasion, the provincial FFC, departments, sectors, political and socio organizations and Luc Ngan district inked agreement on “Joining hands in lychee consumption”.
