Bac Giang focuses on developing precious herbal medicine area

(BGO) – To tap the advantages and develop precious herbal medicine plants from the National Target Programme for socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous area in 2021 – 2025 period, the People’s Committee in Bac Giang province (PPC) will mobilize nearly 118 billion VND (4.8 million USD) to implement the investment and development project of precious herbal medicine area in Son Dong district.

56.4 billion VND will be allocated from Central budget, the remaining amount from local budget, loan capital and others.

Implementing this task, the PPC assigned the Department of Health to chair and cooperate with relevant organizations and agencies and Son Dong district People’s Committee to research, assess and select suitable varieties to local soil and climate with priority taken to preserve available herbal plants in the list of precious, rare and signature trees.

As schedule, the area will consist of growing area, factory, preservation facility, infrastructure of waste treatment, road, power and water within the project barrier.

Son Dong district has about 40 hectares of herbal plant, mostly in the communes of An Ba, Yen Dinh, Tuan Dao, Thanh Luan, Vinh An, Van Son and Tay Yen Tu town.

(BGO) – The Vietnamese Farmers Union (VFU) held a ceremony on September 12 – 14 to honor outstanding farmers nationwide at the Vietnam Russia Culture Labour Friendship Palace of Hanoi.
