They are outstanding farmers in the fields of production and business; associations, cooperatives and new rural areas; entrepreneurship, invention, and digital transformation.

Outstanding farmers are honoured at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed that in the history of national construction and defence, the working class has an extremely important position and role.

Both the Party and President Ho Chi Minh always attached great importance to and upheld the role and great strength of the working class, in the nation's revolutionary cause.

He also praised the VFU for organising an emulation movement for farmers to reduce poverty and increase wealth, from which new production and business models have been born.

The State leader also asked the union to actively build a strong class for farmers and promote their central role in agricultural development and building new rural areas.

In the past 10 years, 698 outstanding farmers were honoured, including those who were awarded the title of Labour Hero by the State; typical farmers advanced in patriotic emulation movements.

Six outstanding farmers in Bac Giang honored

(BGO) – The Vietnamese Farmers Union (VFU) held a ceremony on September 12 – 14 to honor outstanding farmers nationwide at the Vietnam Russia Culture Labour Friendship Palace of Hanoi.
