The doctor conducts the specialized ultrasound for liver in the provincial General Hospital.

The advanced and non-invasive technique, that rarely hurts the patients, is used to measure their infectious rate of chronic hepatitis, metabolism disorder, gall disease as well as screen the early liver cirrhosis with a quick answer (after 10 minutes).

Previously, the liver-related diseases were examined by the traditional method of liver biopsy which made the patients painful and required long waiting time.

The specialized ultrasound device for liver has been imported by the General Hospital with the price of 3.5 billion VND (151,800 USD) mobilized from the socialization budget. It is the first ever technique to be conducted in the province to enhance the service quality and effectively serve the health check-up and treatment.

The Infectious Disease Department (under provincial General Hospital) is currently managing and treating for over 1,500 outpatients suffering from hepatitis B who regularly need the specialized ultrasound for the liver.

The hospital welcomed 30 patients on the first day of technique application.
