Bac Giang has 12 typical intensive citrus farming models.
BAC GIANG – The northern province of Bac Giang now develops about 8,600 hectares of citrus trees (oranges and pomelos) with an annual output of about 75-80,000 tonnes, estimated to be worth 1.6 - 1.7 trillion VND (68.9 -72.3 million USD), reported the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Through the assessment of the functional sector on income, product codes, quality and others, Bac Giang currently has 12 typical models of intensive citrus cultivation and production linkage associated with product consumption.

Among them, some outstanding production models include: 10 hectares of pomelos of Binh Son Agricultural Service Cooperative in Hoa Binh village of Binh Son commune (Luc Nam district); 20 hectares of sweet oranges in Cai Vang village of Dong Hung commune (Luc Nam district); 10 hectares of organic oranges and pomelos of Nguyen Van Huu's household in Xe Cu village and 1 hectare of sweet pomelos of Tran Dinh En's household in Tan Truong village (both in Thanh Hai commune, Luc Ngan district)...
To develop citrus trees sustainably, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development continues to request the relevant agencies to effectively manage the quality of seedlings, ensure their origin and disease-free.
Local farmers are recommended to use organic and microbial fertilizers for safe and sustainable production and apply VietGAP, GlobalGAP and organic production processes...

BAC GIANG - The Cooperative Alliance in Bac Giang province has just participated in the 2024 trade promotion fair for the collective economic sector and cooperatives in the Central and Highlands region in Binh Dinh province. BAC GIANG - Compared to previous years, Bac Giang’s lychee output in 2024 decreased sharply but established the highest price level ever, contributing to increase the revenue from lychees. From this result, the northern province gains more experience in directing production and promoting consumption for the following lychee seasons.
