Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha (center) presents Certificate of Merit issued by the Ministry of Finance to representatives of enterprises with excellent achievements in tax policy execution in 2017.

The provincial DoT’s report clearly specified that the total domestic budget collection hit nearly 5.3 trillion VND (227.6 million USD) in the province, exceeding the plan assigned by the local authority and much increasing against the same period last year. 

The result was made by the continuous efforts of enterprises and businessmen who keep struggling with difficulties to develop the production and trading as well as well fulfill the legal policy on tax, declaration and sufficient payment for arising tax.

To acknowledge and timely encourage the achievement of business and tradesmen community, the Ministry of Finance, General Tax Department and provincial DoT took the occasion to commend 144 outstanding organizations and individuals in tax policy execution. Of which, three enterprises were awarded Certificate of Merit from Ministry of Finance while others received Certificate of Merit from the General Tax Department and provincial DoT.

Addressing at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thu Ha acknowledged and spoke highly of the results gained by the provincial tax sector while congratulating the businesses and individual those actively contribute to the state budget.

Also, targeting at exceeding the estimated rate of state budget collection, she pressed that the tax sector needs to take the initiative in well-implementing solutions to increase the budget collection, reinforcing the propaganda, guidance and facilitation of the enterprises and businessmen in the serious execution of legal tax policy.

Besides, the administrative procedure should be further reformed toward more and more public and transparent online services that ease the taxpayers while strictly handling the fraud declarers and compelling the sluggish cases.

She urged the good taxpayers to continue developing the gained achievements, mobilize various sources to boost up the production and business, expand the market and well comply with the tax legislation on declaration and payment.
