Developing product under Once Commune One Product programme (OCOP) and cooperatives is a mutual task. In addition to add value, create more jobs and improve the lives of rural people, entities and cooperatives, developing OCOP product has improved qualifications, management capacity, product quality and brand promotion methods of local products.
Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Giang province Le Ba Thanh said: "After 5 years of implementing the OCOP program, the province had 205 products achieving OCOP rated at least 3 stars, including 31 products achieving 4 stars and 174 products with 3 stars. It helped Bac Giang rank 2nd in the Northern midland and mountainous region and among the top localities in the country in the number of OCOP products. Of which, 10 products were exported, 56 products were sold at the chain of stores and supermarkets to bring high revenue of over 626 billion VND (over 26 million USD) to cooperatives and farmers."
