Bac Giang increases capacity of Dinh Tram 110 kV substation, installs Yen Dung substation

The project will replace existing transformers T1 and T2 of the Dinh Tram 110kV substation with capacity of 40MVA-110/35/22kV by the new ones, 63MVA-110/35/22 kV, with a remote control cabinet; upgrade, replace, repair and install some new equipment on 35 kV and 22 kV systems. The upgrading of the Dinh Tram 110kV substation, which costs nearly 50 billion VND (2.16 million USD), is expected to be completed and put into use in May 2021. Meanwhile, at the Yen Dung 110 kV substation, transformer T2 with capacity of 40MVA-110/35/22 kV and many other equipment and items will be installed at a total cost of more than 35 billion VND (1.5 million USD).
Once completed, the project will meet the demand for load growth, increase the grid connection, improve the stability and reliability of power supply for the load in Viet Yen and Yen Dung districts and part of Tan Yen district (especially power supply for industrial zones), helping reduce power loss. These works are consistent with the electricity development plan of Bac Giang province for the 2016-2025 period, with vision to 2035.
