Bac Giang leader pays New Year visits to US, Japanese, RoK embassies
At the embassies, Duong briefed on the province's outstanding achievements in 2023 and acknowledged the contributions of the three countries to the province’s socio-economic development.

At the US Embassy, he wished that Ambassador Marc Knapper would continue to support the province in exporting goods to the US market, especially lychee; and in accessing US advanced technology and modern education. He hoped the ambassador will serve as a bridge for Bac Giang province to promote cooperation with some US localities.

At the Japanese Embassy, the Bac Giang leader thanked Ambassador Yamada Takio and Japanese organizations for always accompanying and supporting Bac Giang province. Informing the ambassador about the recently concluded visit to Japan with the Prime Minister and a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Government, he said that Bac Giang has signed a cooperation agreement with Aeon Mall, Japan's largest retail group, on carrying out a commercial project. He hoped that the ambassador will be a bridge to introduce Japanese investors to the province, not only in the economic field but also in education, health, labor and employment.
Meeting with Choi Youngsam, RoK Ambassador to Vietnam, Duong affirmed the good relationship between Bac Giang and the RoK, saying Korean businesses and investors have made important contributions to the province's economic growth.

“We hope that in the coming time, we will attract commercial and service investment projects from the RoK and promote cooperation in the fields of education and employment with the country,” he noted.
Choi affirmed that he will personally support the promotion of cooperation between the RoK and Bac Giang. According to the plan, the RoK Government will implement an environmental ODA project in Bac Giang in 2025. The ambassador will support and coordinate with relevant agencies so that the project can be implemented smoothly. The two sides will make joint efforts to expand cooperation in labor and employment as well as promote cultural exchanges, contributing to deepening the relationship between Bac Giang and the RoK.
