Accordingly, the province’s lychee specialty will be honored and granted a certificate recognizing its Southeast Asian record value by a representative from the Southeast Asian Records Organisation at the 36th Meeting of the Vietnam Record Holders (scheduled to be held in April 2019) in Ho Chi Minh City.

It is known that the Vietnam Record Association is a social organization operating under the decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs. It is responsible for setting the records in Vietnam and connecting with the record communities overseas. It is also the official representative of the World Records Union, the World Record Association, the Asian Records Organisation
In order to continue the promotion of Vietnamese culinary values to the region and the world, in 2018, the Vietnam Book of Records nominated new specialty foods, natural specialties and gift specialties of Vietnam for Southeast Asian records according to the criteria set for "Southeast Asian culinary value" to the Southeast Asia Records Organization.
After reviewing the dossiers, the organization has officially recognized the top specialty foods, natural specialties and gift specialties of Vietnam attaining Southeast Asian record value in 2018, including five specialty foods, two natural specialties
The recognition of Bac Giang lychee as a specialty food with Southeast Asian record value will create opportunities for the province to continue to promote the brand name of Bac Giang lychee to the world market and boost the consumption of the product. This is also the basis for localities to continue considering appropriate investment directions for the development of lychee areas in the coming time.
