2024 was considered one of the most difficult years in recent times. Drawing valuable lessons from previous years, the provincial Party organization, government, armed forces, business community, and people of all ethnic groups in Bac Giang worked tirelessly with high determination and decisive actions.

As a result, the province continued to achieve outstanding results across various sectors, with many key indicators ranking among the leaders nationwide.

The most impressive achievement was Bac Giang’s continued role as a national leader in economic development. The gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth rate reached 13.85%, the highest in the country.

The quality of growth continued to improve, the economic structure transitioned positively, and the GRDP scale expanded to approximately 8.6 billion USD, maintaining the 12th position nationwide and leading in the northern midland and mountainous region.

The investment and business environment further improved, with the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) ranking 4th nationwide. Industry developed strongly, reaffirming its role as the main driver of growth, with the province attracting over 2.23 billion USD in investment.

The services sector gradually expanded, meeting the people’s needs. The total export-import turnover reached over 60 billion USD, a 14.5% increase compared to 2023. State budget revenue exceeded 20.4 trillion VND (803.5 million USD), surpassing both the provincial and central governments’ estimates.

Agricultural production saw the addition of 95 new OCOP (One Commune One Product) products, with five communes meeting the new-style rural standards, 12 meeting the enhanced new-style rural standards, and seven achieving the model new-style rural status.

Infrastructure development continued to receive attention, with many key transport projects completed, contributing to a modern, synchronized transportation system that opens up new development spaces.

Administrative reform, in line with advancing digital governance, was carried out effectively. The Administrative Reform Index ranked 4th, while the real-time evaluation of administrative procedures and public services via electronic platforms ranked 3rd, and the digital transformation index stood at 9th nationwide.

The quality of education and training continued to improve, with outstanding achievements in talent education, reaching the highest level since the province’s re-establishment. Bac Giang proudly saw five students compete and win prizes in regional and international Olympiads, including four gold medals.

These impressive achievements in 2024 have helped Bac Giang secure a new position and serve as a motivation to push the entire provincial Party organization to successfully complete the objectives and tasks for 2025 and the entire term.

This sets a solid foundation for the 2025-2030 period, with the aim of building Bac Giang into a comprehensive, strong, and resilient province. This will contribute to realizing the dream of prosperity and success as Bac Giang joins the nation in entering a new era – the era of the nation’s rise.

The year 2025 holds special significance, marking the year to achieve the set goals and tasks. To successfully complete the seven key tasks of 2025, it will require cooperation and determination from authorities at all levels, sectors, Party members, officials, and the people of Bac Giang, all working toward a common goal for the province’s progress.

Notably, the province will maximize its potential, advantages, and opportunities, and address bottlenecks to promote comprehensive, synchronized development of various economic sectors.

Bac Giang will also focus on shifting the growth model and increasing labor productivity through science, technology, and innovation.

Industry will remain the pillar and main driver of growth, contributing to the restructuring of the economy and the development of other sectors. Bac Giang will continue to develop its industrial sector with the aim of building a “Sustainable Industrial Ecosystem.”

The province will mobilize and effectively use resources to advance the development of socio-economic infrastructure, with an emphasis on transport, urban, industrial, service, and electricity infrastructure.

Administrative reforms will continue, improving the investment and business environment, and enhancing the provincial competitiveness. The province will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of state management in various sectors.

The focus will also be on boosting digital transformation, building an e-government and digital government with interconnected, synchronized databases, aiming to create a modern, friendly administrative system.

This will foster an open, transparent, and business-friendly investment environment, supporting the growth of all economic sectors. The people and businesses will always be at the center, both the target and the driving force for development.
