According to the excellent and level 2- specialist doctor, Director of Bac Giang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital Le Cong Tuoc, the hospital has built the Scheme on implementing IVF technique and sent the teams including doctors, nurses and technicians to participate in the related training courses.

The doctors, nurses and technicians happily to welcome the first test-tube baby born in Bac Giang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.

Thanks to due attention by the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and the Department of Health, the hospital has been equipped with modern facilities for infertility treatment and reproductive support, which are as good as the central-level hospitals. Besides, the hospital has received regular technical support by the specialists of the National Center for Reproductive Support.

The Department of Reproductive Support was established in late 2019 specializing in infertility examination and treatment. This department includes the intensive care unit, operating room (for egg retrieval and embryo transfer), room for sperm retrieval, transplantation laboratory, sperm experimental and screening laboratory and embryo freezing room. Besides, the department is provided with other modern medical equipment.

In addition, the hospital has implemented the modern patient identification procedures with fingerprint and face recognition machines giving accurate results to prevent mistakes or changes of embryo samples.

In the first period implementing the Scheme, Bac Giang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital has successfully deployed some cases thanks to support of the specialists from the central hospitals. Since February 2023, the hospital has welcomed 7 test-tube babies.
