Bac Giang Power Company works hard to ensure power supply for socio-economic development
Entering the renewal period, the power sources and grids were unable to meet the high electricity demand for production and daily life, so the company advised the provincial People's Committee and the electricity sector to make plans for each period (1986-1990; 1993-1995); build and renovate the power grids to meet the electricity needs for the province's socio-economic development.

During this period, the rural power grid developed at a rapid pace, with more than 100 substations connected to it each year.
To meet development requirements in reality, the unit's name was changed many times, corresponding to the operating model for each period.
During the 1997-2003 period, the electricity industry invested hundreds of billions of VND in building power grid projects and put them into operation as planned, such as Dinh Tram 110kV substation, and power grid renovation and upgrading works, bringing electricity from the national grid to remote communes.

By the end of 2003, the whole province had 225 out of 229 communes, wards and towns connected to the national grid, with more than 97.92% of all rural households gaining access to electricity.
Implementing the Resolution of the provincial Party Committee and the direction of the provincial People's Committee on improving the investment environment and promoting socio-economic development, PC Bac Giang has taken many effective solutions.
It has proactively coordinated with relevant units to grasp development plans for industrial parks and clusters, craft villages, residential and urban areas, to provide timely advice the provincial People's Committee, Vietnam Electricity (EVN), and Northern Power Corporation to build and implement power grid development master plans, serving local socio-economic development.
The electricity sector has invested trillions of VND in power grid construction and upgrading. In 2003, the whole province had only two 110 kV substations, with a total capacity of 105 MVA but this year, it has 19 110 kV substations with a total capacity of 1,809 MVA, among leading units of the Northern Power Corporation.

Along with investing in ensuring electricity supply for industrial development, the company has proactively coordinated with departments, agencies, and district authorities in investing in construction and renovation of rural power grids, completing electricity-related criteria in new-style rural area building.
In the new period, in addition to providing electricity for socio-economic development with high growth rates, the company always pays attention to improving the quality of customer service, thereby successfully building the brand and image of a professional, responsible, dedicated and friendly company, taking customer benefits and satisfaction as a measure for all activities.
