Bac Giang provincial leaders visit former soldiers and youth volunteers in Dien Bien Phu Campaign
BAC GIANG- A working delegation of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee led by Tran Cong Thang, member of the provincial Party Committee’ Standing Committee and Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee on April 15 visited and presented gifts to families of some outstanding former soldiers and youth volunteers in Bac Giang city who joined in Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
Tran Cong Thang and other delegates visited and presented gifts to Nguyen Viet The (born in 1932), a former soldier living in the residential group No 6, Tho Xuong ward and Nguyen Van Ho (born in 1939) in Yen Khe village, Song Khe commune who was a youth volunteer.

Both of them joined in the battles of Dien Bien Phu Campaign. After returning the homeland, they have actively participated in production and patriotic emulation movements.
At the visits, Tran Cong Thang considerately asked after their health and expressed his profound gratitude for devotions and sacrifices of the former soldiers and youth volunteers in the struggles for the national liberation.

Besides, he expected them to preserve and promote the revolutionary tradition as a good mirror for the descendants to follow.
On this occasion, Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Tran Cong Thang gave 2 gift packages of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee to the former soldier and youth volunteer, each worth 2 million VND (80 USD).
