The province licensed eight new domestic projects with registered capital of 768.52 billion VND (33.3 million USD), a 2.5-fold increase, and six FDI projects worth 597.5 million USD, up 8.5 times. It also approved the capital addition of one domestic investment project by 16 billion VND (694,000 USD), and 10 FDI projects by 60.02 million USD (equaling 55.3 percent).

Bac Giang ranked third in the country in attracting FDI during the three-month period. FDI projects in the province are mainly large-scale projects with an average capital of 150 million USD.

The province now has 1,802 investment projects, including 1,321 domestically invested ones with total registered capital of 92,673 billion VND (8.35 million USD) and 481 FDI projects with registered capital of over 6.78 billion USD.

Also in the first quarter, there were 187 newly established enterprises in the province, up 3.9 percent, with combined registered capital of 1.2 trillion VND (52 million USD).
