Till the end of 2022, Son Dong district has 4,368 poor households (accounting for nearly 21 percent), down 13 percent year on year and 4,619 near poor families (accounting for 22 percent).

Nine businesses donated Tet gifts to the poor in the districts with total value of 2.4 billion VND (120,400 USD) which is equal to 4,000 sets of Tet gifts ( each worth 600,000 VND).

Particularly, Bac Giang branch of Foxconn Technology Group, Lens Vietnam Technology Company Limited, Luxshare – ICT Company Limited, Seojin Vietnam Company Limited, Crystal Martin Company Limited, Vina Solar Technology Company Limited and Hoa Phu Invest Company Limited each donated 300 million VND. Jufeng New Materials Vietnam Company Limited and Runyang Technology Company Limited presented 150 million VND per company.

The PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong thanked the companies for their good deed to the poor in Bac Giang province in general and Son Dong district in particular. He urged the district to use the donated expense properly, early transfer the gifts to the poor, care for the social policy families and national contributors in both material and spiritual aspect so that everyone can welcome a cozy and happy Lunar New Year. Besides, the businesses should pay due attention to the officials and labours on Tet occasion.

The provincial leader took the chance to extend Tet greeting to the Party Committee, authority and people of all ethnics in Son Dong district, and wish the enterprises new year with new victory and success in Bac Giang.

Acknowledging their contribution, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded the Certificate of Golden Heart to the businesses.
