Bac Giang’s youth promotes creative and pioneering spirit in building homeland
BAC GIANG - With high spirit of young generation, Bac Giang youth has affirmed the role by practical projects and tasks, which express the will and desire to contribute to local socio-economic development.
Thousands of projects and tasks are done
Recently, hundreds of kilometers of inter-commune, village and hamlet roads have been installed with lighting systems by all levels of youth unions in the province in coordination with many units and businesses.

Typically, Dong Ha village in Yen Dinh commune is a particularly difficult village of Son Dong district with 96 households and 462 people of the Cao Lan ethnic group.
Previously, there were no street lights in the village, so at night people had difficulty traveling while the security and order were difficult to control.
Thus, Yen Dinh Commune Youth Union mobilized a number of businesses and units in the area to donate funds to implement the project "Light up the countryside". In just a short time, the lighting system was completed with a total length of nearly 2 km.
According to Secretary of Viet Yen Township Youth Union Nguyen Van Binh, to contribute the youth strength to building new style rural area and civilized urban area, Viet Yen Township Youth Union implemented "Mural Road project".
After 6 months of construction in 17 out of 17 wards and communes, up to now, the project has been completed with a total area of 3,320 square meters, worth nearly 1 billion VND. In particular, the youth union members played a core role in completing the project.
Joining hands with unions, armed forces, units and individuals for community life, in 2023, the youth unions in the province constructed 1,005 youth projects with a total value of 19.2 billion VND ( an increase of 38 projects compared to the same period in 2022).
Of which, there were 5 provincial-level projects, 92 district-level projects and 908 grassroots-level projects.
The projects have brought practical results, affirming the role of Bac Giang youth in socio-economic development, ensuring social security and participating in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
Promoting youth strength
To further promote the youth’s volunteering spirit to build homeland in 2024, with the theme of the year's work "Year of Volunteer Youth", Bac Giang youth strives to carry out at least 1,000 practical projects, attracting the participation of 500,000 youth members and young people.

Determined to accompany the Party Committee, authorities, Fatherland Front and provincial organizations to eliminate 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households, near-poor households and people with meritorious services, this year, Tan Yen district strives to eliminate more than 300 temporary houses.
To complete the set targets, according to Giap Xuan Canh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, right from the beginning of the year, the Provincial Youth Union has made plans for each month and each quarter, allocated targets to each union in the district, township and city while guiding them to focus on implementing a group of projects which specify the "Five Green" movement and apply digital transformation.
Each project completed by youth represents the image and enthusiasm of youth and brings values to the community.
Thereby, it helps create motivation to successfully carry out the tasks of the Youth Union and the youth and children's movement for the 2022-2027 term.
