BAC GIANG - The Department of Education and Training in Bac Giang province on September 9 coordinated with Hanoi based Truong Vinh Trade Development and Service Company Limited to send off a group of 15 students to study semiconductors at Taiwan National Chin Yi University of Technology (China) (NCUT).

These are students from Lang Giang High Schools No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 who have just graduated from high school in 2024. They are admitted to NCUT after an entrance selection, exempted from tuition fees for the first two years of study. They must pay their own tuition fees for the last two years.

Representatives of Truong Vinh Trade Development and Service Company Limited talk with the students and parents at the farewell ceremony.

During the course, the NCUT will support student to arrange internships and practice at microchip and semiconductor manufacturing enterprises to help them improve their knowledge and have more funds for their studies.

At the farewell ceremony, representatives of the Department of Education and Training advised the students to strictly comply with the university's rules and regulations, maintain good health, focus on studying to achieve high academic results and win scholarships to reduce study abroad costs.

Microchips and semiconductors are fields of study that are lacking human resources in Vietnam, especially in industrial parks in Bac Giang province.

Vietnam is currently the destination of a number of companies specializing in manufacturing and trading in the world's largest semiconductor industry such as Intel, Samsung and Amkor.

According to the review of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the enterprises in the province are in need of about 2,500 electronic microchip and semiconductor engineers.

Representative of Bac Giang Education Trade Union receives support money for students affected by storm No. 3 from businesses.

Recently, Hana Micron VINA Co., Ltd., in Van Trung Industrial Park (Viet Yen township) has inaugurated the project to build the first semiconductor factory in the North.

The Company is now developing a system of semiconductor industries in Vietnam to serve the development of artificial intelligence and automation.

At the same day, Truong Vinh Trade Development and Service Company Limited and Exwin Industrial Company Limited in Quang Chau Industrial Park (Viet Yen township) supported 70 million VND for students in Bac Giang province who are affected by storm No. 3.
