Bac Giang supports production development under value chain

(BGO) – This year, the People’s Committee in the northern province of Bac Giang planned to mobilize nearly 4.8 billion VND (over 207,000 USD) from the budget of the new style rural building programme to support several production models developing under the value chain.

These facilities are mostly located at the districts of Luc Ngan, Luc Nam, Lang Giang, Hiep Hoa, Tan Yen, Yen Dung, Viet Yen and Bac Giang city.

Each locality will receive around 100 – 600 million VND (4,300 – 25,800 USD) to realize the cultivation and breeding projects and models such as growing the orange, pomelo and custard apple in the communes of Binh Son, Truong Son and Huyen Son (Luc Nam district); planting the watermelon in Dong Viet commune (Yen Dung district); cultivating Italian originated red gladiolus in Bac Giang city; raising new breed of chicken with a close linkage to consumption in Luc Ngan district.

Bac Giang province is offering numerous supporting policies for such partnership models.
