Samkwang Vina Company Limited (Co.,Ltd) (Samkwang) in Quang Chau IP (Viet Yen district) has more than 4,000 labours. Though Covid-19 disease has been well controlled, the company maintains various prevention measures.

In addition to communication method and mask wearing regulation, the company erected anti-drop shields and applied distancing rules at the canteen. The hand sanitizers are placed at each entrance to workshops together with propaganda posters against Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the medical division in the company is equipped with necessary tools and devices. Samkwang also sprays disinfectant at all workshops and offices once a week on every Sunday. As a result, up to now, the enterprise has not detected any Covid-19 case.

As one of the enterprises with big employees (over 19,000 people), New Wing Interconnect Technology Company Limited in Van Trung IP (Viet Yen district) always focuses on disease prevention and control. According to Vice Director of the Human Resource Department Tran Thi Chi, the business enhanced communication and ordered their labours to raise awareness of self-prevention against Covid-19 and seasonal diseases.

The staff at Medical Division actively detected any new infection then instructed the labour to isolate at home by themselves and followed treatment method so as to prevent cross infection to others.

Besides, the company reviewed the vaccination rate and proposed the IP Medical Center to organize additional injection while preparing necessities to activate response programmes depending on actual situation with close watch and direction from the provincial leader and IP Medical Center.

According to the provincial IP Medical Center, apart from disease prevention measures, since early April, many companies took hundreds of workers to get Covid-19 injections at the Center such as Fuyu Precision Component Co.,Ltd; Crystal Martin Vietnam Co.,Ltd; Blueway Vina Co.,Ltd; Vina Cell Technology Co.,Ltd. Many others asked staff at the Center to vaccinate their labours at the factories. Currently, 99.6 percent of total labours at the provincial IP got second booster shot of Covid-19 vaccine.

From January 1 till April 18, 2023, there were 7 Covid-19 patients were detected in the provincial IP, particularly 5 cases at Fuyu Precision Component Co.,Ltd, 2 at Shinsung Vina Company in Song Khe – Noi Hoang IP. Right after getting the information, the provincial IP Medical Center assigned staff to cooperate and instruct the business about effective measures to stop the disease widespread. The patients were all isolated with safe treatment.

Implementing the direction from the Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Health and IPMB, the provincial IP Medical Center issued document to the enterprises requesting them to increase prevention and control measures against Covid-19 and other diseases. A supervision and instruction plans were published. The working groups were established under the direction of the Center’s leaders.

Accordingly, from April 18 – 21, 2023, the groups supervised 54 businesses in the provincial IP. Vice Director of the IP Medical Center Do Quoc Anh said the inspected companies basically followed strict direction from the provincial leader, Department of Health and other guidance. They had specific plan and programme as well as assigned staff in charge of each division to apply suitable measures when detecting any infection and people with close contact.
