At the conference, DOCST’s Vice Director Do Tuan Khoa briefed on potentials and orientation for tourism development of the province. Accordingly, Bac Giang province targets to establish some tourism and service complexes of large scale with spreading to become national tourism complexes and establish Bac Giang tourism trademark as an attractive destination in the northern midland and mountainous region.

Besides, the participants discussed and recommended some solutions for tourism development of Bac Giang province, particularly mobilizing involvement from the society for tourism promotion, establishing unique tourism products and paying special attention to community-based tourism development.

Representative of Bac Giang DOCST highly appreciated the opinions given by the participants, which are helpful for Bac Giang province to define what need to be done in planning and construction of tourism products, promotional measures for Bac Giang tourism and especially investment attraction.

In order for effective exploitation of the tourism destinations, DOCST will continue collaborating with related localities and units to foster communication and promotion, carry out surveys to introduce the destinations and organize conferences and seminars to grasp opinions on building unique and attractive tourism products to lure arrivals.

The DOCST expected travel agents would build more tours to bring tourists to Bac Giang, contributing to increasing revenues from services and boosting development of tourism economy.

At the conference, the Center for Tourism information and promotion of Bac Giang province, Association of the Holy Journey and Tay Yen Tu Service Joint Stock Company inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation for development of Bac Giang tourism products.
