In his opening remark, the provincial permanent Vice Chairman Mai Son stressed the importance of science, technology and innovation. Thanks to boosting application of science, technology and innovation, Bac Giang has seen remarkable socio-economic development.

According to Nguyen Thanh Binh, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Bac Giang’s economic development is based on the 3 main pillars including agriculture, industry and service. In order to develop these sectors, the province has invested synchronous infrastructure to facilitate trading, circulation of goods and tourism development. Thus, there is large room for enterprises and young generation to build startup ecosystem.

Concluding the forum, Mai Son highly appreciated the evaluation and opinions of the participants, which not only helped to develop initiatives and potential startup projects of the enterprises and individuals but also provided an important basis for Bac Giang province to build innovative startup ecosystem conforming to the province’s conditions.

Based on the opinions, he urged the agencies, organizations and enterprises in the province to actively collaborate with the Department of Science and Technology to propose contents related to building innovative startup ecosystem, facilitate, encourage and boost socialization activities and attract investment from organizations and individuals for startups, innovative and creative activities. Bac Giang province strives to be in top 15 provinces and cities nationwide implementing effectively the project “Supporting the National Innovative Startup Ecosystem until 2025”.

At this event, the participants pressed the button to start the innovation startup contest of Bac Giang province in 2023. Individuals, groups of individuals and enterprises can participate in this contest by submitting ideas and startup projects in all sectors, production and business lines and services. Application should be submitted before 5 pm of 30 June 2023.

On this occasion, the Department of Science and Technology, the provincial Business Association and Cooperative Alliance signed cooperative agreements with some partners and performed technology of the biochar production furnace from agricultural waste.
