The members donate the blood in the Festival.

Comparing to the same period last year, the event drew more donors, 70% of whom have donated blood twice or more. Typically, some agencies called for members’ voluntary donation exceeding from 4 – 10 people against the target such as the provincial Social Insurance, Department of Transport, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Labor War Invalids and Social Affair among others.

146 qualified blood units were received (250ml per person on average) after being tested carefully by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.

The festival is an annual event with a deep humanitarian meaning launched by the Union on the occasion of Youth Month to stimulate the pioneer spirit of the young generation in charity and humanity campaigns for the community.
