Box-shaped stele in Doi Coc recognized as national treasures

The event was attended by Le Anh Duong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, leaders from the provincial departments, branches and agencies, leaders of Bac Giang city and Dinh Tri commune, representatives of the Giap and Than in Bac Giang province as well as numerous local people and visitors.
At the ceremony, the municipal leader briefly introduced the source and outstanding value of box-shaped stele in Doi Coc. It is a unique object in an original state, comprising of the stele and the cover closely attaching to each other.

The stele was built in Ky Dau year or Canh Linh Year (1549) as a precious documentary about the social status and career of laureate Giap Hai – a first place royal laureate keeping several key positions in Mac Dynasty. To date, it still

With such historic value, the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on December 25, 2017, inked the Decision recognizing the box-shaped stele in Doi Coc as the national treasure.
