Under the close leadership of the provincial Party Committee and with the support of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organisations, Bac Giang's authorities at all levels swiftly identified challenges and implemented flexible, creative solutions to overcome both anticipated difficulties and arising issues.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Gau and Acting Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Mai Son extend congratulations to the outstanding citizens of Bac Giang in 2024.

As a result, the province fulfilled 15 out of 18 key targets, with eight surpassing the set plans.

To accelerate industrial development, the provincial People's Committee focused on expediting the progress of infrastructure projects in industrial zones and clusters to increase the supply of clean land to attract investment.

Efforts were also made to improve the quality of investment, prioritising large-scale, high-impact projects; and promptly resolve issues faced by businesses and investors.

To date, the province has established 11 industrial zones and 55 industrial clusters, covering a total area of more than 5,047 hectares, an increase of nearly 680 hectares compared to 2023. Transportation infrastructure and supporting works have been invested synchronously.

In 2024, Bac Giang’s estimated state budget revenue reached 20.48 trillion, exceeding the government’s forecast by 30.8% and the provincial People’s Council’s estimate by 27.5%.

Alongside economic growth, Bac Giang continued to prioritise cultural, social, healthcare, and educational development to better meet the needs of its people.

Despite facing numerous challenges, the Party Committees, authorities and people of Bac Giang demonstrated solidarity and determination, affirming the province’s potential, internal strengths and development position.

Bac Giang’s achievements in 2024 were marked by positive growth across all sectors. The province’s economic growth rate has been the highest in the country for three consecutive years.

In terms of economic size, it now ranks 12th in Vietnam and leads the northern midlands and mountainous region, surpassing the goal set by the 19th provincial Party Congress.

Many key indicators such as the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), the Public Administration Reform Index (PAR Index), the Satisfaction Index of Public Administrative Services (SIPAS), the Digital Transformation Index (DTI), foreign investment attraction, and import-export have all been ranked among the best in the nation.

Looking ahead to 2025, despite remaining challenges, Bac Giang is well-positioned to accelerate its development and meet the targets set in the 2021-2025 socio-economic development plan.

The province's positive image in the eyes of investors, the trust of its people and businesses in local leadership, and the political stability and ensued social order in Bac Giang are key factors driving its future growth.

Moreover, increasingly synchronised infrastructure and a contingent of well-trained leaders and managers with strong mettle provide a strong foundation for the province’s future breakthroughs.

To achieve its political and socio-economic objectives for 2025 and beyond, Bac Giang will focus on the following key priorities:

Firstly, it will continue to enhance the building and refinement of institutional frameworks.

Secondly, the province will focus on building a synchronised and modern socio-economic infrastructure system, with particular emphasis on transportation, regional connectivity, urban infrastructure, and digital transformation projects.

Thirdly, Bac Giang will prioritise the attraction and development of a skilled workforce, especially in cutting-edge fields like semiconductor technology and artificial intelligence.

This will contribute to increased labour productivity, improve the province's economic competitiveness, and foster an attractive investment environment.

Fourthly, the province will step up efforts to streamline the organisational structure, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in operations.

Fifthly, it will promote administrative reforms and the use of technology to improve governance and public service delivery, better serve both citizens and businesses.

Sixthly, Bac Giang will develop a 5-year development plan for the 2026-2030 period in a systematic and scientific manner, ensuring that it is based on solid legal, technical, and practical foundations.

With drastic and comprehensive solutions and the determination and aspiration to rise of the entire political system and people, Bac Giang enters 2025 with confidence in its ability to achieve the objectives set by the 19th provincial Party Congress and successfully organise the 20th provincial Party Congress, laying a foundataion to join the country’s journey into a new era – the era of the nation’s rise.
