Can Tho to host hot air balloon festival

Can Tho City People's Committee will host Hot Air Balloon Festival 2023 among the activities to celebrate nation’s big holidays.

Accordingly, the festival will be held on the occasion of the death anniversary of the Hung Kings (on the tenth day of the third lunar month), the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2023), International Workers' Day (May 1), and the 133rd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1980 - 2023).

Hot air balloon festival held in Can Tho.

The festival is organised by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with Saigon Victory Investment, Import-Export, Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, and other related agencies and units.

Hot Air Balloon Festival 2023 will be held for four days, from April 30 to May 3. The selected venue is at Can Tho Stadium, Song Hau Park, and Ninh Kieu Wharf, in Can Tho City.

This year's festival gathers 30 colourful hot air balloons of various shapes.

During the festival, visitors will have the chance to sightsee the landscapes of the Mekong River from the hot air balloons.
