For the first 6 months of this year, the district has basically fulfilled all the goals and targets for socio-economic development. Total production value hit 10,628 billion VND (450.9 million USD), reaching 58.3% of the plan and increasing 17.3% over the same period. Budget collection exceeded the estimated schedule.

Hiep Hoa district now has 1 industrial park and 10 industrial clusters with a total area of ​​895 hectares, registered construction capital of 7,769.4 billion VND, invested capital of 3,568.6 billion VND which create jobs for 17,450 workers.

Concluding the meeting, PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong highly appreciated the results achieved by the district, proving for a right choice and direction. Based on the opinions of departments and sectors, the provincial leader suggested Hiep Hoa to consider industrial development as the focus by completing the infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters to attract investment; paying due attention to site clearance and resettlement arrangements for people subject to land recovery.

Also, the district should accelerate the urbanization, fully prepare conditions to soon turn the district into a township.

Promoting the strengths of large population and large purchasing power, local authority was encouraged to boost the development of trade and services, thereby promoting other fields.

Besides, the district was asked to focus on building and improving the quality of staff from district to grassroots level, worthy of the tasks and responsibilities in the new development period.

Regarding the recommendations, the PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong agreed to issue a thematic resolution on building Hiep Hoa district to become a township by 2028, construct a new road connecting Soc Son district (Hanoi) - Hiep Hoa district - Tan Yen district - Viet Yen township - Bac Giang city on the basis of appropriate planning, resource arrangement and current traffic status.

Additionally, the province will support the district to build offices after merging with commune-level administrative units, soon deploy a number of new residential and urban projects in the district to have resources to complete fourth grade urban criteria this year.

Previously, the provincial leader and the delegation inspected the site at JUTECH Industrial Cluster in Huong Lam commune; Vuon Chum Cooperative in Hoang An commune and awarded the Great Solidarity House to family of Nguyen Thi Lam in Que Son village of Thai Son commune.
