In the comment section, thousands of people praised the actress' figure and stunning dress.
The designer revealed the actor's crew texted her on Instagram and asked her to make the dress. The crew said they needed a shining silver evening gown that could show off the wearer's figure.
Initially, the client suggested Thu sew a dress like that worn by some other Vietnamese celebrities. But the designer suggested the actress should wear an original design instead.
The starry-sky-inspired gown took the 35-year-old designer two weeks to create. The low-cut design was made with crystal and silver pearls that were hand-sewn onto the gown.
Thu stated that after trying on the piece, the actress and her crew were pleased and complimented its stunning design. Following the event, Thu received numerous compliments from international friends, as well as new invitations to collaborate with other Chinese celebrities.
The fashion designer used to be a model but later launched her own fashion label in 2008. She has designed costumes for many famous Vietnamese celebrities, including singer Ho Ngoc Ha and beauty pageant holder Do My Linh.
