Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Duong Van Thai welcomes Chinese delegates.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Duong Van Thai extended a warm welcome to the Chinese delegates to Bac Giang province. He stressed Bac Giang is home to numerous popular agricultural products especially lychee. On this occasion, he invited the delegates to visit the lychee growing area in Luc Ngan district where attracts a lot of traders purchasing lychee to export to China.

He called for leaders of Guangxi province and Hekou district to facilitate traders, firms and Bac Giang province in exporting agricultural products through the border gates. The meetings and talks contributed to tightening the friendship among localities and strengthening cooperation and development.

Addressing at the meeting, Zhang Yan, Assistant Director of the Guangxi’s Department of Commerce thanked Bac Giang province for their warm reception. He informed Guangxi province has 7 border gates importing fresh fruits from Vietnam.

The annual output imported through these border gates reaches hundred thousands of tons. The staff at Huu Nghi and Pingxiang Shi border gates have worked overtime for prompt clearance of Vietnamese agricultural products since 1 June.

On the same day, Bac Giang PPC held a trade- connection meeting among domestic growers, traders and firms and some 100 firms of Pingxiang Shi and Hekou district, China.

The Chinese traders highly appreciated the quality of Bac Giang lychee and shared obstacles that need handling to boost consumption. A number of firms and traders of the two countries agreed on the linkage and modes of cooperation in this lychee crop.

Within this Forum, Bac Giang PPC held a press conference with nearly 50 reporters of the press agencies from Bac Giang and other provinces and cities on 7 June afternoon. The reporters paid attention to such contents as requirements and new regulations of Guangxi province on Vietnamese agricultural products, consumption market and supporting solutions of the province.

To answer the related questions, Tran Quang Tan, Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade shared the provincial competent agencies conducted a careful study on the new regulation of the partner to guide farmers and firms.

To date, the enterprises have reported on both quality and quantity of Vietnam’s and Bac Giang’s agricultural products for export as dealing with customs procedures which have been done smoothly. Particularly, Bac Giang’s lychee in 2018 has the best quality ever. In addition, Bac Giang province has given first priority to improving quality of lychee to enhance competitive capacity of the product meeting the demands of Guangxi province and other markets as well.
