Cold wave coming for northern Vietnam
A mass of cold air is moving from the northeast towards northern Vietnam, and is expected to arrive in its eastern parts starting Thursday afternoon, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

U.S. weather forecast service AccuWeather anticipated Hanoi's temperatures on Thursday to be at 21-29 degrees, before falling down to 17-19 degrees on Friday. High-altitude locations like Lao Cai's Sa Pa will see temperatures falling down to 10-13 degrees on Dec. 3.
The mass of cold air will reach the northern parts of central Vietnam starting Thursday night, bringing temperatures down to 16-19 degrees. Areas from southern Nghe An to Binh Dinh will see rain levels between 100-400 mm from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3.
Hazardous weather conditions like lightning, hail and gusts may affect agricultural production, felling trees and damaging infrastructures. Flash floods, erosion and inundations may also appear in certain areas.
