Construction of Dong Viet bridge accelerated to link Bac Giang and Hai Duong

(BGO) - Bac Giang province has accelerared to build Dong Viet bridge and its paths in Yen Dung district which was commenced in late June 2022. Nearly 150 officials and engineers are working in three shifts to complete the bridge foundation before moonsoon season.

Dong Viet bridge is more than 730m long, the bridge deck is 22.5 m wide. It is the first and largest cable-stayed bridge of Bac Giang province. The project is invested nearly 1,500 billion VND (65.7 million USD) from provincial budget, helping connect two provinces of Bac Giang and Hai Duong.

It is constructed by consortium contractor of Thuan An Trading and Construction Development Joint Stock Company, Trung Chinh Construction and Trading Company Limited; Vietnam 168 Import Export and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company and scheduled to be completed after 30 months.

According to the Site Manager Tran Van Tu, the contractor has focused on construction and determined to open technical traffic clearance on September 2, 2024, three months ahead of the schedule.
