Danh temple festival is imbued with traditional culture
Danh temple is located on top of Danh mountain at the height of 117 meters above the sea level. It was surrounded by vast pine and eucalyptus forest. There is a small well named Mui Voi under the moutain. The temple was built in Le dynasty to worship Sants Cao Son and Quy Minh who greatly helped the 18th Hung King to fight the enemy.

In 2006, Danh temple was recognized as provincial cultural historical relic site and approved to build Thuong (Upper) temple within its campus. The site covered nearly 600 square meters (4 folds bigger than previous time) with total construction cost of over 5.2 billion VND (220,700 USD) from the socialization source.

Danh temple festival is annually held on lunar January 19 – 20, featuring Sant procession ritual from Vuong temple in Hau village to Danh temple which wishes for a new harmonious year with bumper harvest, healthy people, happy and prosperious families. The ceremony attracted many visitors near and far.
The event also had various art and cultural activities, traditional martial competition, mountain hiking, folk games and others. After the festival opening ceremony, the representatives offered incense at the Thuong Temple and joined Sant offering ritual.

It was the chance for the locals and visitors to commemorate the great ancestor, talented and righteous and national contributor to the cause of national liberation and construction.
