As of November 30, 2018, the preferential loan balance to the poor and other policy beneficiaries in Luc Nam district reached over 500 billion VND (over 21.4 million USD) with nearly 15,000 households benefited, of which, overdue debt was only 280 million VND (over 12,000 USD), reducing 64 million VND (2,700 USD) comparing to the same period last year.

The programme beneficiaries included poor households; policy beneficial families; ethnic people; students living in special difficult families. Generally, the credit loan basically met the clients’ demands in production development, study at colleges and university or professional vocational schools. The policy credit helps promote the local socio-economy and increase the residents’ living standard.

Speaking at the meeting after listening to the discussions, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thu Ha urged the Executive Committee’s Representative Board of the district BSP to boost up the communication and well implement the Direction No. 40 of the Central Secretary Board about enhancing the Party’s instruction in social policy credit task.

The BSP’s provincial branch should coordinate with the Department of Finance to build the plan of increasing the state budget loan to the poor and policy beneficial households then submit to the provincial People’s Council for approval.

Besides, the district should review the capital balance for the preferential loan in 2019, suitably distribute to each commune with priority taken to the localities with many beneficiaries while reinforcing the loan team, regularly meeting, inspecting and supervising the programme implementation.

Meanwhile. the transaction office of the district BSP should well execute the task of disbursement, debt collection, interest collection and others.

Previously, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thu Ha inspected the loaning to policy beneficiaries in Huyen Son commune.
