English festival themed Our Tet Holiday

(BGO) – Tran Nguyen Han Secondary School in Bac Giang city, Bac Giang province has recently held the English festival under the theme of “Our Tet Holiday” and experienced making Chung cake on Tet occasion. 

More than 600 students at the school were instructed by teachers at The Viet English Center to make Chung cake, peach and apricot blossoms, greeting card and red envelope; showcase the products and deliver the presentation in English.

The Viet English Center presents 20 scholarships to the school students.

Additionally, they had the chance to exchange the foreign language with the topic about Lunar New Year and meaningful of Chung cake making custom. Besides, 35 students at grade 8 and 9 enjoyed the contest of “Ring the golden bell” under the theme of “Ngay Tet que em” (Tet holiday in my homeland) to answer all questions in English.

To date, the English festival has been organized in 12 out of 16 secondary schools in the city so as to prepare for the municipal contest in April 2019.

Cultural exchange at English camp
(BGO) – The English camp 2018 jointly held by the Department of Education and Training (DoET) and Hanoi based English Institute in July 7 – 27 at Ngo Si Lien High School (Bac Giang city) brought several benefits to the students such as an opportunity to daily communicate in English, learn about American culture and further understand the lifestyle of international youth.
 
“Bookworm” attracts English-language book lovers

My Son Sanskrit texts to be translated into Vietnamese, English
The Sanskrit texts inscribed on the relics at My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO world heritage site in central Vietnam, will be translated into Vietnamese and English with the assistance of Indian experts.
