Export of electric wire, cable surges

Export of electric wire and cable earned Vietnam nearly 1.6 billion USD in the January-November period, up 24.7 percent compared to the same period last year, according to statistics of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

High growth was seen in the export of the products to China, Japan and the Republic of Korea this year.
China alone spent 530.79 million USD to import electric wire and cable from Vietnam in the first 10 months of the year, an increase of 39.1 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, the value of shipments to the RoK went up by 34.46 percent, and that to Japan, by 21.46 percent.
At present, Vietnam has more than 200 enterprises producing and exporting electric wire and cable.
Export turnover hits over 5.7 billion USD
(BGO) – The Department of Industry and Trade in the northern province of Bac Giang has recorded the October export turnover of 569 million USD in the province, bringing the total accumulated figure from the beginning of this year up to over 5.7 billion USD, rising 1.4 percent comparing to the same period in 2017.
Vietnam is world’s third largest exporter of shoes and leather
Vietnam exported US$11.7 billion worth of shoes and leather products in the first nine months of 2018, making it the world’s third largest exporter of shoes and leather, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).

More than 400 Vietnamese firms are exporting timber products to Europe, which is the 4th biggest market for Vietnam’s wood exports, accounting for over 10 percent of the country’s total export of the products.
Fruit, vegetable exports valued at 3.3 billion USD
Vietnam earned some 3.3 billion USD from vegetable and fruit exports during January-October, up 15.5 percent from the same time last year, the Agro Processing Market Development Authority (AgroTrade) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has said.
