Female boxer grabs 11th Olympic slot for Vietnam
Tam amassed 190 points from tournaments organized by World Boxing Federation, enough for her to win a slot at this year’s Olympics. The 27-year-old also benefited from North Korea’s withdrawal from the event, which means the world’s number one female boxer Park Mi Choi won’t be able to compete, thereby leaving a vacant spot.
