In 2001, teacher Pham Thi Thang graduated from the History Department of the Ngo Gia Tu College of Education in Bac Giang province and was assigned to teach the Citizenship Education at the Hoa Son commune Secondary School and then the Thang township Secondary School. Thanks to the dynamism and actively learning from colleagues, she quickly found suitable teaching methods.
To inspire students, in each lesson, Thang has created many close-to-life situations for students to comment, process and choose first. Then she showed them the right and the wrong things.
Topics such as gratitude to parents, behavior culture, prevention of school violence and social evils, and harmful effects of adolescent sexuality, among others, are included in her lectures and become close and convincing.
Thang shared: “In the teaching process, I know the capacity of each student, thus applying appropriate teaching methods”. Always innovating teaching methods, she has passed the passion for the Citizenship Education subject to many generations of students. She often nurtures good students (Grades 8 and 9) in the Citizenship Education.
Since 2013, nearly 80 students have won prizes in provincial- and district-level high school examinations. In recent five consecutive years, she has earned the title of an excellent teacher at district and provincial levels and secured many high prizes in provincial and national integrated teaching competitions. She is always loved by students and trusted by colleagues.
