Speaking at the press conference, Chairman of BritCham Vietnam Christopher Jeffery said that the event, which is one of the biggest running races in Vietnam, is being organised with the hope to raise funds to help disadvantaged people.

It also aims to provide an opportunity to connect British and Vietnamese businesses to join hands in helping people with difficulties throughout Vietnam.

Since it was initiated in 2000, the annual Charity BritCham Fun Run event has raised over 12 billion VND for charities across Vietnam. It has been held annually in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, attracting the participation of more than 130,000 runners.
